Programmatic Social Proof
PSP — One template, infinite variations
Programmatic Social Proof (PSP) is a social media content strategy that applies the logic of programmatic SEO to video production: one repeatable template generates infinite content variations by combining structured data variables — industry, city, AI engine, and query — into unique short-form videos at scale.
Definition
Traditional social media content is handcrafted — each post is conceived, scripted, and produced individually. Programmatic Social Proof inverts this model. A single video formula is defined once, then executed across hundreds of variable combinations to produce unique, targeted content at scale.
The formula: [Industry] × [City] × [AI Engine] × [Query] = one unique video.
Each video follows an identical structure: a text hook targeting a specific profession, a live screen recording of an AI engine answering a real query, a visual reveal of which businesses appear and which are missing, and a call-to-action driving viewers to verify their own visibility.
The method is “programmatic” because the content is generated from data combinations, not creative brainstorming. 20 industries × 15 cities × 3 AI engines = 900 unique videos from a single template. Production time per video: 5-10 minutes.
The method is “social proof” because each video IS the proof — a live, verifiable demonstration that AI engines recommend some businesses and ignore others. The viewer does not need to trust the creator's claims. They can open ChatGPT and verify the result themselves.
How It Works
- Define the template — A fixed video structure (hook → query → results → CTA) that works for any industry.
- Generate the variable matrix — List target industries, cities, AI engines, and specific queries.
- Batch produce — Record 10-20 screen recordings in one session. Add text overlays. Export.
- Post at volume — 3-5 videos per day across TikTok and Instagram Reels.
- Let the algorithm select — At high volume, the platform algorithm surfaces the best-performing combinations. Double down on winning industries and cities.
The math: 150 videos/month → 7-8 get algorithmic traction → each viral video = thousands of tool scans → scans convert to signups at 1-3%.
Relationship to Other Concepts
PSP applies Pressure SEO principles to social media distribution. The same way Pressure SEO makes content structurally impossible to exclude from AI answers, PSP makes a brand impossible to ignore on social feeds through sheer targeted volume.
PSP is also the social media equivalent of programmatic SEO (pSEO) — template-based content generation at scale — but applied to video instead of web pages.
Origin
The term “Programmatic Social Proof” was coined by Jonathan Jean-Philippe, founder of Rankeo (rankeo.io), in April 2026.
